After the Iraqi National Team draw in their friendly game against Kuwaiti National team yesterday, Younis Mahmoud managed to break the Iraqi national caps record held by Iraqi star Husein Saeed by increasing his tally to 127 games played for the Iraqi National Team. With this number, Younis Mahmoud has officially passed Hussein Saeed’s 126 game record that was help for over a decade.

Olympic team in high spirits
From the Olympic team training camp in Turkey, Iraqi captain Younis Mahmoud confirmed the high spirits players are in and confirmed through his official website saying:
“Iraq can win the Asian Cup again”
Iraqi national team captain Younis Mahmoud arrived Australia yesterday to witness and take part in the 2015 Asian Cup draw. Upon arrival Younis confirmed to the press that with the right training camp and friendly matches, Iraq can compete with Asia’s giants.
